Filters are between $5-$15. Most cars use around 5 quarts, so total you are looking at between ~$8.50 and $45 depending on the quality that you want.

Or ramps are nice too. I would guess anywhere from $30 to $50 for a wrench set, ramps, an oil pan and a filter wrench and then the cost of the oil and filter.
