How much should I expect to pay for an oil change and new front and rear brakes on my motorcycle?

I have a 1994 Suzuki Intruder 800. I bought it earlier this summer, probably should have gotten this done already but havn't. How much should I expect to pay for an oil change and also for front and rear brakes? How much should I expect to pay for an oil change and new front and rear brakes on my motorcycle?avarage $200 , depends on where you live also if you have connections with a private mechanic

How much should I expect to pay for an oil change and new front and rear brakes on my motorcycle?way more than you might think sorry ... do it yourself way cheaper and then you know how to care for it all in the same time... best you learn how to keep it running when you can do most of it yourself oil and brake is right so easy as tune up is.....call the dealer and get a shock... then go dealer and pick up new brake pads and oil and filter.. i can see your face now... saying how much you say what the How much should I expect to pay for an oil change and new front and rear brakes on my motorcycle? For parts you can estimate around $20 for the oil and filter.

Maybe around $90 to $150 for pads. Of course, those estimates vary depending on the price markup and the brand that is used for these parts.

So, for parts you have, let's say; around $120. Most shops charge in the $50-$75/hour labor range. Let's go with something in the middle; $60/hour.

The oil change will take about 1/2 hours ($30 labor). The pads shouldn't take much more than one hour ($60).

So, add that up. $120 parts plus $90 labor gives up a bill of about $210.

Both are pretty easy to do yourself. A few internet searches should provide you with some good helpful hints on doing the job yourself.

Good luck. Ride safe. How much should I expect to pay for an oil change and new front and rear brakes on my motorcycle? These are definitely do it yourself tasks. It's easy too because it's the same process as changing the oil %26amp; filter on a car. Same as brakes. Wrenching is just as enjoyable as riding.

Maintenance wrenching not repair wrenching.

Is an oil change really needed or can it wait another week?

Ok, I drive an small size SUV and my maintenance light came on which indicates an oil change is needed. However, I checked to see how low it marked on the metal stick and it was a hair above the second bump. Can I hold off doing an oil change until fri of next week or should I do one today? I don't want to ruin my engine, but at the same time I don't have the money to get it serviced this week. By the way, I dive approximately 108-ish miles daily. Please advise. Is an oil change really needed or can it wait another week?the oil doesnt need to be changed unless it has been over 4 months or 5,000 miles. its ok to wait a week. but if you check the oil and it is low then you should add oil to the engine if your gunna wait over a week to change the oil. low engine oil may potentially cause problems to the engineIs an oil change really needed or can it wait another week?If it's been less than 5000 miles since the oil was changed, go ahead and wait a week.Is an oil change really needed or can it wait another week?sounds like you change oil regularly so waiting a week shouldn't hurt.Is an oil change really needed or can it wait another week?U better get it done right now before the motor blows up. Just kiddin, it won't know the difference if u wait.Is an oil change really needed or can it wait another week?As long as it's not 'low' on oil you will be OK.Is an oil change really needed or can it wait another week?first off that metal stick thingy ma bob that you are talking about is actually called a dipstick, it is not for gaugeing when you need an oil change it is for checking your oil level. In order to do this accurately you need to wipe the oil off and stick it back in and pull it out. The second %26quot;BUMP%26quot; is where the oil should be. FRI next week would be 8 days so 864 miles shouldn't hurt it.Is an oil change really needed or can it wait another week?yes you can wait a week!! 500miles more will not hurt your motor, if you are scared that it will add oil refresher, like motor honey oil, this will add to your viscosity that has broken down
